Fishing Trips - Tarpon, Snook & Jacks
Another exciting new destination in a pristine wilderness - Cayo Las Brujas,
Inshore fishing off Cuba's north coast, for BIG Tarpon, Snook and a variety
of the Jack Family.We have been fortunate to obtain another contract for a new fishing site
located east of Havana on Cuba's north coast. Guests will stay at the
beautiful Hotel Villa Las Brujas, situated right on the beach. The adjacent
marina houses the small fleet of boats which give fishing access to the
surrounding area.

There are 4 Price-Craft 16 boats at the new site powered by 25HP Yamaha
outboards, complete with conventional tackle, giving anglers access to the
extensive area adjacent to the hotel. The guides are all English speaking
and experienced with both conventional gear and fly fishing.
There is the
opportunity to target the myriad of fish species found in the channels and
reefs a short distance offshore. Prime time for Tarpon is August - November. |

Tarpon, up to 120 lbs +, are one of the primary target species at this
site. Combine this with other species such as Snook to 30lbs, Jack Crevalle
to 30lbs, Barracuda, Dorado, Albacore, Sierra Mackerel, and an assortment of
other species in the Jack family such as Horse-eye Jacks, Amberjacks, Pargo,
Cubera Snappers & Red Snappers, give the angler a wide variety of different
species to catch. Tarpon, Snook and Jacks can be pursued with a fly rod
while conventional stand up gear can be used for fishing the reefs or
trolling for Barracuda, Mackerel and Snappers.

Guests will stay at the 3* Hotel Villa Las Brujas situated on a rocky
outcrop over looking the Caribbean, Located on Cayo Las Brujas island
connected by a long causeway to the mainland.
The hotel comprises of a small complex of 24 villas, most with sea views and
balconies and access to a lovely secluded beach. All rooms have A/C and
satellite television. The rooms themselves are spacious and well appointed,
with ensuite bathrooms, and separate sitting areas. The restaurant, El
Farallón, serves respectable Cuban fare and fresh seafood. Facilities
include water sports and the coral reefs offshore, second in size only to
Australia's Great Barrier Reef are a Mecca for divers. There is a range of
activities for non fishing guests and the beach offers a great attraction
for partners and children. Tours can be arranged to the unspoilt historic
town of Remedios on the mainland.

We offer a suggested programme of 6 days fishing and 7 nights accommodation
at Hotel Villa Las Brujas. Trips can be tailored to suit fishing interests
for any particular species of fish. Please enquire for longer or shorter
trips. A stay in the neighbouring 4* luxury all inclusive beach resort with
more facilities, can also be incorporated into the package.
The price per fisherman is £1395 (please contact us regarding non-fishing
guests) which includes the following:
Domestic Flight from Havana to Cayo Las Brujas (departing twice weekly)
2 nights in Havana (one night at either end of trip due to transfers)
Six Days fishing, (1 person per boat for fly fishing, ( 2 for conventional
fishing)
Fishing licence.
7 nights accommodation at Hotel Villa Las Brujas, Half Board.
All airport - hotel transfers.
