Meet
and greet at airport and private transfer to Hotel Sevilla, a
charming old world hotel 4* in old Havana.
|

PROGRAMME
STARTS
Full
day city tour of Havana including visits to all the important
sights such as Cathedral Square, Plaza de las Armas, museum of
the revolution, cigar factory. Lunch at Divina Pastora restaurant
overlooking the bay. After lunch, visit Havana Club Rum factory.
Return to Hotel. Dinner at at the famous Cuban El Ajibe restaurant
with traditional Cuban cuisine. Option for Tropicana show ....

After
breakfast, we visit the Finca Vigia, the former country home of
Ernest Hemingway. Then we leave Havana to Matanzas province with
a boat ride on the Canimao river followed by lunch at a local
restaurant. Continue to Cienfugos, the French-style town know
as the Pearl of the South. Stay overnight at Cienfuegos hotel
Jagua.

After
breakfast, depart for Trinidad, a colonial town that is a Unesco
world heritage site. Walking tour of city centre followed by lunch
at local restaurant. Visit the Romantic museum, the Casa de la Trova
to enjoy Cuban music and La Canchanchara for a rum tasting. Return
to Hotel Jagua in Cienfuegos. Dinner will be in the stunning Palacio
Del Valle restaurant overlooking the bay. |

After
breakfast, we do a morning tour of Cienfuegos and then transfer
to Santa Clara where we visit the Museum and Mausoleum of Che Guevara,
Cuba's famous revolutionary. Short tour of the city. Lunch in local
restaurant. Depart for Pinar del Rio province, Cuba's main tobacco
growing area. Dinner and overnight at La Moka hotel, a lovely ecolodge
set in a natural reserve on the slopes of forested mountains (the
Sierra del Rosario). |

After
breakfast, transfer to Vinales valley, a spectacular landscape of
limestone outcrops known as Mojotes. Stop enroute at Pinar del Rio
city and visit both the cigar factory housed in a former jail and
the rum Guayabera factory. Boat ride through El Indio caves. Lunch
at Ranchon San Vicente. Return to Hotel La Moka. Dinner tonight
is in the home of a local farmer in the community of Las Terrazas. |

After
breakfast, visit the Las Terrazas community and take a swim in the
San Juan river. Visit the Buena Vista coffee plantations (now disused).
Lunch in local restaurant. Return to Havana for flight home or extension
of holiday such as a beach resort. |
